JOLICLIP approached us right at the very start of their journey asking us to not only help bring them to the market but do it with impact. We jumped at the opportunity, building foundations for their future growth through implementation of brand strategy, branding and web design.

We were tasked to visually anchor the brand in its founders vision. Inspired by Aztec mythology, JOLICLIP is the SaaS product that gives users goddess like power, at their finger tips. Think of it as the life hack you didn't know you needed.

In Aztec mythology Ōmeteōtl was a binary god comprised of the husband and wife duo Ometecuhtli and Omecihuatl who were responsible for the creation of the universe. The Aztecs believed that —prior to Ōmeteōtl creating themselves—the universe was unknowable, and for all intents and purposes did not exist. Enter Josh & Ali (Jo-LI), founders of JOLICLIP who are on a mission to bring organisation and simplification to consumer shopping behaviour, bridging the gap between comparison and discovery. JOLICLIP operates in a unique space, acting as a conduit between consumers and brands. We at Eleven took this SaaS product from founders concept to market function.

Make it personal

JOLICLIP was born out of the frustration encountered when founder Ali was searching for specific items online and not being able to simple and quickly access her research in one place. Fast forward a few months, this problem turned out to be the light bulb moment for a unique online tool.

JOLICLIP is a SaaS solution that is designed to provide personal experiences via digital life hacks; organisation, comparison and discovery.

We had the wonderful opportunity to bring JOLICLIP to the market, ready for users and investors alike. Kicking off with extensive workshops to really understand the product, we wanted to continue that personal connection all the way to final identity executions.

 
 

Design solutions

The design solution for JOLICLIP required a unique toolkit of parts for the product to work for all users. One of the challenges we faced was how to manage user generated content that would be unique for every user while still having uniformity and organisation.

Working closely with the JOLICLIP team, we devised a structural user experience, nesting layers of content that was fully editable, manageable and sharable with other users, aka, JOLI-Clippers.

Known as Palettes, a responsive design was born allowing registered users to save, compare and share their Clippings found online, all in one space that was unique for each individual.

Become a gift list god or goddess.

JOLICLIP works at its best when users generate the content. Beyond Clipping URL’s and saving this data within the site, we knew that we had to create design functionality that removed any barriers for the user. We also needed to clearly communicate all the features to the user.

Market research showed us that a core feature, Gift List, was normally a subscription service by competitors, so JOLICLIP provided this service for free.

Now users could build and share private or public gift lists, purchase direct from the retailer and mark if the gift is purchased.

This project was problem solving at its finest. Working with JOLICLIP to transform their branding and then implement it into a prototype web design and build was an exciting experience. Once again our adaptability and strategic thinking was called upon to get this project across the line. We knew that a mixture of speed and high quality work was required to make sure JOLICLIP did not miss its market entrance.
