We were approached by Hoohaa, an online fragrance subscription service to re-brand their offering to Scent Social. Their current brand wasn't hitting the mark with their target market - it was overwhelming and obscuring their service offer. The turn around time for this project was a rapid 2 weeks and the deliverables were a new identity and visual language transferable to packaging, print and web.

The brief

Being a market place brand, Scent Social needs to be able to create space to showcase the branded perfumes that they sell. Looking at the market it struck us that many of these market places looked the same and whilst they do create space they can also lack personality.

We wanted Scent Social to invoke joy and sit slightly off-centre from others in the market. Fragrance is memorable and therefore so should Scent Social. Being a start-up brand we wanted to create something that would attract and hold your attention and would work well across all touch points.

We worked closely with the client to present them a number of moodboards refining as we went, focusing on typography pairing, colour palettes and photography styling.
